SMS Communications
GetBlackBiz (operated by Spinel Inc.) uses SMS/text messaging solely to deliver transactional, account-related messages. Three message categories are supported:
- One-time password (OTP) verification codes during sign-in and security-sensitive actions.
- Lead alerts notifying business owners when a verified customer submits an inquiry or interest signal on their listing.
- Order and transaction confirmations, including receipts and status updates for purchases made on the platform.
No third-party marketing. Phone numbers collected for SMS will never be sold, rented, leased, or shared with third parties for marketing or promotional purposes. We share phone numbers only with the messaging infrastructure providers (such as Twilio) that deliver our transactional messages on our behalf, under contractual data-handling obligations that prohibit those providers from using the data for their own marketing.
How you opt in. You opt in to SMS from GetBlackBiz by (1) entering your mobile number in a form on our site and (2) affirmatively checking the SMS consent checkbox adjacent to that phone field. The consent checkbox is never pre-selected. SMS consent is optional and is not a condition of creating an account, listing a business, or purchasing a subscription.
How you opt out. You can stop SMS at any time by replying STOP to any message from GetBlackBiz. We will send one final confirmation of your opt-out and will not send further non-critical SMS to that number. You may continue to receive one-time transactional codes that you have actively requested (for example, an OTP you generated by attempting to sign in).
How to get help. Reply HELP to any GetBlackBiz message for contact information, or email [email protected].
Frequency & carrier charges. Message frequency varies with your account activity. Message and data rates may apply from your mobile carrier. GetBlackBiz does not charge for SMS but cannot waive carrier fees.
